Yash was born on 8 January 1986 in a lower-middle-class family in Hassan district, Karnataka. His father's name is Arun Kumar Gowda he is a bus driver. And even after Yash became an actor, he drives a bus in BMTC. Yash's mother's name is Pushpalata she is a housewife. Yash's real name is Navin Kumar Gowda, but since childhood, everyone used to call him by his nickname Yash. That's why we know him today by the name Yash.
Yash loved watching movies since childhood. Once he participated in a play in his school and everyone liked Yash's performance and everyone praised him, due to which Yash decided that he would make his career in acting.
After the end of school, Yash decided that he would not pursue further studies and would focus his entire attention on acting. Yash shifted to Bangalore to fulfill his dreams and there he joined an acting theater to improve his acting. Whatever role Yash got in the theater, small or big, he used to do it honestly. Here Yash got a very good experience of acting.
Once Yash got the job of assistant director in a movie but after a long wait, the shooting of the movie did not start. And when the shooting of the movie started, for some reason the producers left the movie. Now Yash had no work left and his money was also running out. Yash once told that time was very difficult for him and he had to sleep at the bus stand one night.

Despite all the difficulties, Yash continued to audition for jobs in films and TV serials, and in 2004, he got a TV serial role named Uttarayana, in this serial, the lead role was play Roza and Hemashree. The audience didn't pay much attention to Yash's performance.
Yash got recognition from his second serial Nandgokula, this time this serial was also a hit and people liked Yash's acting very much, after which Yash started getting offers for more TV serials. By 2007, Yash became quite popular in TV serials. But he wasn't satisfied yet. He still wanted to work in films.
In the year 2007, he got an opportunity to work in a film, this film was Jambada Hudgi, due to which Yash did not get any special recognition. In 2008, Yash did his second film 'Moggina Manusu' in which he played the role of a supporter, for which he also received the award for Best Supporter.
In 2008, another movie of Yash came Rocky and in 2009 he acted in a lead role in two films but these films were not successful. Yash's first super hit movie as a lead actor came in the year 2010, which was Modalasala in which he played the role of Karthik, in the year 2012, Yash's movie name drama which was a romantic movie, was a hit and gave Yash a different identity.
In the year 2013, Yash's other movie Googly was a blockbuster and proved to be South's highest-grossing movie. Now Yash's career started progressing slowly, Yash started getting a different identity of his own. Yash became the top actor in his industry in his career span of 10 years.

But in 2018, the movie KGF gave Yash a different identity in the whole world, this movie was released in many languages worldwide. It took almost four years to make this movie, Yash tells that it was very difficult to make a KGF movie, Yash himself did the action scenes in this movie. KGF movie was made on a budget of 80 crores which earned around 250 crores at the box office.
People liked Yash's role a lot in KGF, due to which people eagerly waited for KGF Chapter 2, recently KGF Chapter 2 was released on 14 April 2022, which broke all the records and collected 116 crores on the first day and all were Surprised.
