KK was a famous playback singer in Bollywood. KK's real name was Krishnakumar Kunath. He was born on 23 August 1968 in a Malayali family to Kunath Kanakavalli and CS Nair. Krishna Kumar i.e. KK was a famous playback singer in the Hindi film industry. KK did his schooling at Delhi Mount St. School. After this, he did his graduation from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.


In his early days, KK never wanted to be a singer. He considered Kishore Kumar as his guru. Due to this, he made singing his profession. During his college days, he had also done a band with his friends.

Former cricketer Virender Sehwag, while paying tribute to singer KK, wrote – Sad to hear the news of KK's demise due to KK falling ill during a performance in Calcutta. Another example of how short life is. Condolences peace to his family and friends.

Hariharan condoled the death of KK and said – KK was a very private person. For me, this is a personal loss. A very sad loss for the family. I can't believe that KK is no more with us.

Music composer Salim Merchant, condoling KK's death, shared a picture of himself with KK and wrote- 'My brother KK I am shocked and broken… you suddenly left us… you have always sung from the heart brother… after all. Till the day…' With this, he has also shared a heart-breaking emoji.


Akshay Kumar tweeted late at night after the news of KK's demise and wrote- 'Very sad and shocked to know about KK's sad demise'. What a loss! om Shanti.


Allu Arjun also expressed grief over KK's demise and tweeted, "Very sad to hear the news of KK's passing. He sang memorable songs for me. He was loved by people of every generation and language. My condolences to his close ones. Gone too soon. May your soul rest in peace."
